Studying the Master of Analytics at UC Berkeley’s IEOR department was an extraordinary journey filled with invaluable learning and growth. I am deeply grateful to my professors whose guidance was pivotal in my development as an analytics professional. I will profoundly miss the vibrant community and the collaborative spirit of the department, which consistently inspired me to push the boundaries of what is possible in the field of analytics.

Favorite Berkeley Analytics class and why:

Machine Learning and Data Analytics I and II were my favorites courses because it deepened my understanding of advanced analytical techniques and their real-world applications. The hands-on projects and the opportunity to solve complex problems were particularly enriching and directly aligned with my passion for data-driven decision making.

Favorite Cal Memory:

One of my favorite memories from Cal was participating in the showcase event in the Master of Analytics program. It was incredibly rewarding to showcase our team’s hard work and innovative solutions to complex data challenges in front of industry experts and peers. This event not only marked the culmination of my academic efforts but also strengthened my passion for analytics and the power of teamwork.

Advice to newly admitted students

Embrace every opportunity to learn and apply your knowledge practically. IEOR is a field where theory often meets real-world challenges, so engage deeply with your coursework, seek out internships, and participate in research projects. Networking with peers and industry professionals can also open doors and provide valuable insights into your future career. Remember, your time at Cal is not just about gaining skills but also about building relationships and understanding the broader impact of your work.
