Through our “Day in the Life” employer series, we connect you with analytics leaders from diverse fields to share how analytics fuels and reshapes industries. These engaging events, typically lasting 1-2 hours, feature presentations from analytics representatives across various teams within a company, recruiter insights, networking opportunities, and one-on-one resume reviews with recruiters.

Day in the Life of a Supply Chain Engineer at Tesla

At this event, students gained exclusive insights into the dynamic world of Tesla’s supply chain engineers and learned ways to stand out as candidates. As the event concluded, they received a special QR code to access an exclusive job and internship opportunities at Tesla.

Day in the life of a Senior Data Scientist at Lyft

During this event, Arman Jabbari explored the dynamic opportunities and projects within Lyft, sharing valuable insights from his journey as a proud Cal alum to a seasoned data scientist.

Day in the Life of the Senior Director of Products at anchain.ai

This event featured Berkeley IEOR alum, Francesco Piccoli, Senior Director of Products at AnchainAI. Company Treks and Visits

The UC Berkeley Master of Analytics program organizes company treks to visit various headquarters throughout the Bay Area. Last year, students had the opportunity to visit the headquarters of Google and Tesla. During these visits, they engaged in one-on-one conversations with high-level executives and practitioners, gaining invaluable insights into what it takes to succeed in these prestigious organizations. The trek not only provided students with the chance to build their professional networks but also helped them understand the essential skills and attributes needed to thrive in top tech environments.

The Berkeley Analytics Lab Showcase is an annual event that highlights the hands-on analysis and research conducted by Berkeley Analytics students. From posters to app demos and interactive features, students showcase their use of cutting-edge analytical methods and quantitative tools to tackle real-world business and industry challenges.

This showcase explores the transformative power of analytics across various industries, including sports, entertainment, fashion, finance, generative AI, healthcare, and more. The event attracts industry representatives who judge and select the winning group projects. This provides an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their talent, build relationships with top companies, and create valuable career connections.

Through our Employer Spotlight Series, we bring top companies to campus for exclusive info sessions where they present an overview of their organization and offer students unparalleled opportunities to engage. Attendees gain exclusive access to job opportunities and move to the front of the line for potential job placements, making these events invaluable for those looking to advance their careers.

Micron

Representatives from Micron’s global procurement team visited Mudd Hall on Thursday, November 3, to discuss effective networking strategies, resume building, technical interview tips, and summer internship opportunities in Micron’s San Jose office. Attendees also enjoyed pizza provided courtesy of Micron.

KONE

Cindy Jabaay, Senior Recruiter, and Konsta Jokipii, Business Analytics Manager at KONE, shed light on how analytics drive KONE’s operations and provide essential advice on distinguishing yourself as a candidate. The event will also include group mock interviews and resume review sessions for interactive learning.

The UC Berkeley Master of Analytics program proudly sponsors two professional development student organizations: ACOrB, a student-led consulting organization that matches analytics students with employers for summer projects, and Analytics @ Berkeley, a student organization focused on facilitating industry outreach and connection to benefit Master of Analytics students.
