Head of Analytics, Google (SMB)

Bio: Jiaxi Zhu has over 10 years of experience in business analytics. He currently serves as the Head of Analytics for Google’s Small and Medium Business (SMB) division. In this role, he leads teams in deploying advanced analytics and AI-driven models to support go-to-market strategy, forecasting, and customer experience for millions of businesses globally. Prior to Google, he was a business technology consultant at McKinsey & Company and PwC, advising executives at Fortune 500 companies on enterprise data strategy and digital transformation.

Jiaxi is committed to democratizing knowledge and insights in his field. He currently serves as a mentor for high-growth startups through programs like the Google for Startups Accelerator and acts as a judge for analytics and AI competitions. Jiaxi holds an MBA with dual majors in Business Analytics and Entrepreneurship & Innovation from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He is a proud alumnus of UC Berkeley, where he earned his B.S. in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research (IEOR) in 2014.

Why I am teaching this course: Jiaxi’s career has focused on translating complex data into clear decisions, actions, and impact. He is teaching this course to share these insights and help the next generation of analytics leaders succeed. He aims to provide students with a practitioner-driven understanding of the end-to-end analytics lifecycle, from designing robust analytical frameworks and building powerful models to crafting compelling, data-driven narratives for executive audiences. By sharing lessons and insights from his experience, he hopes to equip students with the strategic and technical competencies needed to lead high-impact initiatives in their own careers.
