Through events co-hosted with partner companies, we give students opportunities to collaborate directly with industry leaders, build real-world experience, and develop long-term professional relationships.

Tesla Case Competition

Developed in collaboration with Tesla’s supply chain organization, the competition was designed as both an applied learning experience and a recruiting initiative, giving Tesla leaders a firsthand look at Berkeley’s top Master of Analytics talent. The competition followed an executive presentation format, featuring rapid-fire questioning designed to probe analytical reasoning and business communication skills.

Google Data Hackathon

A fast-paced, collaborative competition where participants use Google’s advanced data tools, cloud technologies, and machine learning capabilities to solve real-world challenges. Teams analyze large datasets, develop innovative insights, and build data-driven solutions within a limited timeframe. The hackathon emphasizes creativity, technical problem-solving, and effective communication, giving participants hands-on experience with Google Cloud, BigQuery, AI/ML models, and cutting-edge analytics workflows.

Convergence 2025: AI & OR Synergy Summit

The UC Berkeley Master of Analytics program hosted the 2025 INFORMS Regional Analytics Conference, titled “Convergence 2025: AI & OR Synergy Summit.” The conference brought together leaders from academia, industry, and policy to explore the future of AI-driven decision-making and data-powered innovation. The event featured career speed networking sessions, along with a panel discussion on careers, business, and the future of work in a post-AI, analytics–driven world.

Company Treks and Visits

The UC Berkeley Master of Analytics program organizes company treks to visit various headquarters throughout the Bay Area. Previously, students had the opportunity to visit the headquarters of Google and Tesla. During these visits, they engaged in one-on-one conversations with high-level executives and practitioners, gaining invaluable insights into what it takes to succeed in these prestigious organizations. The trek not only provided students with the chance to build their professional networks but also helped them understand the essential skills and attributes needed to thrive in top tech environments.

Master of Analytics Showcase

The Berkeley Analytics Lab Showcase is an annual event that highlights the hands-on analysis and research conducted by Berkeley Analytics students. From posters to app demos and interactive features, students showcase their use of cutting-edge analytical methods and quantitative tools to tackle real-world business and industry challenges.

This showcase explores the transformative power of analytics across various industries, including sports, entertainment, fashion, finance, generative AI, healthcare, and more. The event attracts industry representatives who judge and select the winning group projects. This provides an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their talent, build relationships with top companies, and create valuable career connections.

Employer Spotlight Series

Through our Employer Spotlight Series, we bring top companies to campus for exclusive info sessions where they present an overview of their organization and offer students unparalleled opportunities to engage. Attendees gain exclusive access to job opportunities and move to the front of the line for potential job placements, making these events invaluable for those looking to advance their careers.

Denodo

On October 7, 2025, representatives from Denodo introduced students to the company’s industry-leading data virtualization platform and shared how organizations use integrated data to drive real-time insights. The team offered guidance on building strong technical foundations and highlighted internship and early-career opportunities within Denodo’s engineering and analytics teams.

Arize AI

Arize AI’s joined MAnalytics students on October 28, 2025, to explore the company’s work in model monitoring, performance evaluation, and responsible AI deployment. They also shared career advice for students interested in ML engineering and data science, along with real-world examples of challenges addressed through Arize’s platform.

KONE

On November 5, 2025, KONE’s recruiting and analytics teams visited Berkeley Analytics to share how data-driven decision-making supports the company’s global operations. The session offered students practical guidance on standing out in the hiring process and featured interactive elements including group mock interviews and resume review activities to help students strengthen their communication and analytical storytelling skills.

Osaro

Members from the Osaro team visited Berkeley Analytics students on November 18, 2025, to share the company’s advancements in robotics and AI-powered automation. They highlighted career pathways in robotics, computer vision, and applied machine learning, and offered insight into the technical skills and project experience that help candidates succeed at Osaro.
