Ian Howard

Ian received his Master of Analytics degree from UC Berkeley in 2023, where he landed a summer internship as a data scientist at BASF, the world’s largest chemical producer. He was retained and continues to serve as a data scientist at BASF, bridging connections between data science, senior management, and key stakeholders.

Before graduating from Berkeley Analytics, Ian earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and a minor in statistics from NC State University, with concentrations in robotics, product design, and entrepreneurship.

With his engineering acumen fused with statistics, advanced probability, and a fascination for data science and AI, Ian excels at extracting compelling stories from big data to ethically inspire evidence-based decisions across available alternatives. He routinely leverages the power of purpose in his work, demonstrating ambition through intention and a strong desire to make a meaningful impact.
