Bio: Nagui Yassa is a technology and product marketing executive with over 15 years of experience leading go-to-market strategy, corporate growth, and cross-functional operations across high-impact organizations. He currently serves as an advisor both at Global Treehouse and at the Product School, where he supports startup leaders and emerging product marketers on strategic positioning, messaging, and operational scaling.

Previously, Nagui was the Global Product Marketing Lead at Meta, where he led monetization and go-to-market initiatives across key business areas including Generative AI, Reels, and Meta Verified. He played a central role in launching Meta’s first-ever subscription product and scaling global adoption across B2C and B2B segments. Earlier in his career, Nagui held executive roles at Pledge 1% and Pandora Radio, where he led strategy, operations, and integration efforts during Pandora’s acquisition by SiriusXM. Across roles, he has consistently delivered growth by aligning product vision with scalable business strategy.

He holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research from UC Berkeley, a Bachelor’s in Management Sciences from the London School of Economics, and a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Music Studies from Berklee College of Music.

Why I am teaching this course: Throughout my career leading go-to-market and strategy efforts at Meta, Pandora, and mission-driven startups, I’ve seen firsthand that the difference between good and great in the tech industry often comes down to soft skills — in complementarity to technical ones. Whether you’re pitching a product vision to a VP, managing up to earn trust, or simply introducing yourself in a way that sticks, communication, emotional intelligence, and stakeholder awareness are critical to making an impact.

I’m teaching this course to help students build the non-technical toolkit that often goes untaught: how to speak with clarity across audiences, navigate cultural nuance, build a professional network with authenticity (especially for international students), and show up powerfully in interviews and onboarding. My goal is for students to walk away not just prepared to land a job, but equipped to thrive in real-world tech environments — as confident communicators, thoughtful connectors, and strategic operators
